Re: EGR question
Yeah, no way to get around it throwing a code as far as I know. Have had an SES light on for the last few months after pulling the AIR and EGR systems--without any problems.
Here is a good step by step site for pulling the EGR

Re: EGR question
You need to remove the EGR system, get EGR block of plates for the manifold, and a 35 mm freeze plug for the intake. Then, either use LS1edit to remove the code, or have it tuned. (Normally during tuning they remove this code.)

Re: EGR question
Oh, BTW, save the canister, it is worth alot of money! Although the temptation to launch it into your neighbors yard via a 3-man water ballon launcher is very tempting...

How do you remave the air system, is it hard, does it have any benefits, and where can i get instructions on how to do this, and will it help clean up the engine compartment.

Re: EGR question
There is probably not a fuse for the EGR/AIR system. If there was one and you pulled the fuse it would set of the light because the system would not have any power making it inoperative.
