Default 243 head questions

I have a set of 243s with the light weight valves and Comp 918 springs? Will I need shorter push rods and will the use of a thinner head gasket and or shaved heads change the length needed?
I'd like 62cc chambers; Is it .006 for each 1cc

Which is preferred:
1. 62cc chambers w/.040 cometic gaskets
2. 62cc chambers w/ stock MLS gaskets
3. stock chambers w/ .040 cometic gaskets

Mods will be going into/onto a 99 LS1 with 56000 mi.:
TSP228R 114LSA Comp 918 springs
KOOKS 1 3/4 with hiflow cats, 3" to the back
243 heads
Still looking for the LS6 intake.

Just running the Blackwing, hiflow air bridge, and the 85mm MAF now.
Looking to get close to the 400 mark, with good torque under the curve, just a street driver with no track interest, (not yet anyway).
Thanks to all that can help. Steve

you can buy a pushrod checker to see what length pushrod you will need with that cam and head .
the gasket or to deck the block would be .005 for every cc . then .007 off the head for every cc .
many prefer the quench that a thinner gasket will give you so i would go with numer one if you are looking for power .

I think you might be shy of your hp mark, i guess it depends on the tuner but it will help if your car is a m6 i think. I running stock 243 casting heads and milled my heads down to 59cc to get my compression around 11.5-1 with having dished pistons don't remember what the valve reliefs were. What i am trying to say is don't be dissapointed when you don't reach 400hp mark.

I have a 99 FRC Vette MN6, I'll be happy if I get close.
