Default oil and coolant in tail pipes

my friend has a 99 z28 and he has oil and coolant in the tail pipes and when he drives it it smokes and the engine light flashes after 40 mph. when he starts the car it back fires and pop. what do you guy think is wrong with it ?????

You've got to pull the heads to know for sure. We can only speculate. Could also be head or block damage. My best guess & easiest to fix is a blown head gasket.

i don't know how the PCV has anything to do with coolant but yea i would a leak down test and at minimum a compression and coolant pressure tests.

He's in some trouble, forget about the PCV system. Why is he still starting and driving the car? Park it and get the heads off and see what's going on.
