It sounds BADASS! I Have that exact setup on my camaro. It has that deep, hollow rumble at idle. Watch out, because everybody is going to say that the flowmaster CB is going to cost u power. Most people's claims on the Flowmaster CB's Hp loss is greatly exaggerated, so keep that in mind. I did, however just buy an electric cutout so I can still enjoy that crazy Nascar WOT sound and get whatever ponies back the Flowmaster is "supposedly" costing me!

Same set-up here too, yeah, its a little raspy. This and the lost HP as stated by others has caused me to cut the crap off and now am installing a magnaflow cat-back I picked up from a fellow member. From what I hear this combo at WOT will be very very nice!

it seems as though any off road y pipe system is going to have rasp, some more than others. Thats when i decided to go with the magnaflow x-pipe setup (custom). But now im going back to the Y-pipe setup (required for sts setup)

Wow, check the link Waterbug has posted and do a search and you will find the same results over and over again. I have seen a 15rwhp loss at the bolt on level through the flowmaster catback. Apparently instead of helping people you would rather claim proven results are bogus and have people make the same mistake you did...
The Flowmaster catback sounds pretty good actually, its just too bad it isn't a performance part. I really don't think it flows any better then the stock catback based on the dyno results I have seen. If you already used it, then by all means run it....but realize it is costing you power. Personally I would sell it for a couple reasons. First, you can run a cutout....but they are so intolerably loud(IMHO), and don't sound that good. 2nd, why even switch to LT headers when you have a huge bottleneck exhaust downstream...
If it was my car, I would sell the Flowmaster and use the money I got from it with the money you were gonna spend on an Electric cutout and just get a better flowing catback that sounds good and Flows very well. Hooker or Magnaflow get my vote.

When i had my flowmaster w/ my Pacesetter ORY setup i didn't hear any rasp it all.
Swapped to a Spintech Muffler and now i've got more of a rattle coming from the passenger side exhaust tip (only b/t 2200 and 2700 RPMs)... buggin' the crap out of me. I know it's not rasp.

Actually the 40 series flowmasters don't flow well at all for a full size muffler. Do a search and you will find flow comparisons, and find that they aren't that good. The single chambers and outlaw mufflers flow pretty well I guess but the other stuff not so much. A few years back when flowmasters were all the rage(more so then now) people were running them with the ID/OD as much as an inch larger then the exhaust pipe and reduced down to fit for better performance.
