Default crank f*ck up! help!!!!!

ok, it took us a good while to get the stock pully off, then we put the crank bolt back in there without the pully on to turn the chain so the dots would line up, then we had to get a air gun set it up to 130 and take the bolt back out! it would barely move at 130, but we finally got it off! so when we did, the last couple threads were flattened out! so without messing up my crank anymore, what is the best way to go about putting the new pulley on and tightining it down to 240, then taking it back out, then putting the new one back on? should i rethread the crank or what? i do not want to change that damn crank! ANY input would be more than great!

ack well....id say get a tap set and run a tap through the crank a few times....

Ive reused the stock balancer bolt about 10 times so far...just put some blue low strength rtv on it everytime...
and its such a pain to get 240 lbs of torque, i just pull till i cant anymore and call it good

150lbs probably..

You got some really good suggestions in your post on LS1.COM. Why not try one of those and see what happens?

Run a tap in the crank snout and then fill the cylinders with water so that the pistons cant move in the bores and then you can get as much torque on it as you want.
