Got 1200 bucks in my hand for headers.... need some advice
Just saved up enough $$$ for Headers, gonna need cats so I'm looking at the FLPs. They've been out for awhile, they're not stainless and there have been lots of fitment issues. On the other hand, KOOKs would be about the same price (stainless) but no removable cats/off road pipes. How would these two Headers do against each other as far as gains? Would the Random Tech cats + the Kooks headers make more power than the FLPs with or without the offroad pipes in? I'd like to order the headers real soon so any help would be great.
Has anyone installed either of these headers, I figure the FLPs will be harder because of fitment issues I MIGHT have. Nothing a hammer can't take care of :p
Thanks for any help you guys can throw my way

Kooks All the way. The design is just plain better and IMO im not gona spend 1200 on headers that I have to take a hammer to. Then on top of that the FLP's come with a 2.5 inch y-pipe vs the kooks 3 inch and thats more power right there

if u go with anything go with stainless steel. U will not regret it. I'd say Kooks, Stainless Works or QTP. If there is a difference in HP/TQ ratings there will not be much at all. look at TTS if u want. IMO stainless is the way to go.

Cars' an M6 so no converter. I'd like to be able to get in on the KOOKs GP thats going on $1249 I think is the total price for stainless, with catted Y. Maybe if QTP ever releases their catted Y with dual cutouts, I'll buy that and have it fitted up. Not a big fan of TTS, don't have any reasons not be though.
Has anyone installed KOOKs' LTs? I'll be doing it myself on a lift, how long did it take you all?

I ordered them yesterday, got 1 3/4 stainless, with a catted y and AIR provisions. I forgot to ask TEA what else is included. All the hardware I imagaine, gaskets? From what I hear they are rather $hitty, probably go with stockers. I guess I'll need o2 simulators too? Thanks for your help guys.

The install is not bad. I did it in my garage so it should be much better using a lift. Once I realized I had to pull the engine mount bolts on the driver's side and shove hard, the install was easy. They notch the end holes of the flanges so you can thread the rear header bolt with the gasket on it and then slip the flange onto the bolt.

Buy a set of used MACs (300 bucks) and put the money towards a cam kit
you can even build a custom ORY for less
