how do you weld on the top of pipes when its still on a car?

Default how do you weld on the top of pipes when its still on a car?

i use a welding machine that takes the welding sticks.. and i dont see how people weld on the very top part. like if i was welding 2 pipes together. i can reach the bottom and 2 sides but not that top. do you let the exhaust hang down to do it then connect it to the hangers to raise it back up?

idk i used a wire welder an just angled the gun up there

um i hate a stick welder i couldnt imagine doing exhaust with one

what is the wire welder called? are they expensive?

i love using the stick welder.

ther called mig welders they cost more than sticks but u might be able to find one cheap
there are 110 220 version
and they require a shielding gas unless u use a flux cored mig wire

stick welding is a joke. unless your working on hevy equipment.
