Default solid mount question?

When ever any of you were installing your solid motor mounts how exactly did you slide it into place with the header (driver's side) still on?

If I remember correctly, we unbolted the headers and just raised them up a bit, put a block of wood underneath the oilpan and jacked up the engine. We then slid the solid mounts in and bolted them to K and engine. It was a pain in the ***.

Yeah, I finally got it in there. I didn't have to take the header off, just did tons of wiggling and moving it around but it finally slid into place...I'm glad it's over...
