Someone I know is considering getting a local speed shop to fab him a set of striagh pipes for an 04 gto, but hes worried they might set off his check engine light? I was wondering how an exhaust(stock mids) would do that unless they were headers?

As long as the cats and o2 sensors are in the original places there should be no issue at all.
