Default Do pacesetters give good gains

I am looking into buying some headers soon and am leaning towards LPP headers and pacesetters. I would rather get pacesetters to save $150 or so, but I have heard in several places that they can hamper your gains. I always read about switching from pacesetters to others headers and gaining 10+ rwhp. Can anyone give me some insight if any of this is true.

I will keep my pacesetters if they are sacrificing only 10rwhp. They gave me great gains.

I put down 350rwhp with mods in my sig. I think thats pretty good. I like my pacesetters.

All 1 3/4 headers are comparable, and certainly not differentiated by as much as 10 HP, I can see that if they are measuring pacesetters 1 3/4 vs. kooks 1 7/8's. Regardless, my car made 441/403 through a stalled automatic with 17x12 wheels out back with pacesetters and an ORY, so I'd say they are good to go.

Care to share those routes? Pacesetters have had a new design out for quite some time, their coatings are very good and the craftsmanship is on par with all the others. I'd like to see this route that is A LOT cheaper and better quality.

3100 posts on here and you cant figure out the better route? XS stainless headers is obviously a better route. Better materials for a way better price. And does it really matter if they were purchased from Ebay, here or SSautochromes website? Narrow minded idiot.

Wow dude, check the attitude! People always gotta start cllin names on here for the dumbest reasons. Anyway, either is a good choice, me i run Pacesetters on my car and love em, but im married and on a budget so my options were limited. But when it was time to reasearch i chose them irregardless of the price. People just plain liked them, i didnt get the ebay headers cause they werent as well known.

Get Chocotaco in here. He'll tell you what's up. Pacesetters do absolutely fine, especially for the money. If you can spend more, you'd want to look at stainless. Hooker has a stainless one now.

Ive owned Pacesetters over all I think they are garbage.

When going to a LS1 I decided I wanted Stainless Steel, NO fitmit issues and make great power. Dynatech fit that bill for alot of reasons.

When people say they like pacesetters, they will say. "For the money...." Meaning you get what you pay for.

Mine for the COMPLETE kit, down to the screws and zipties for 1200, thats for the y pipe and cats too and made great power.

340rwhp (Corrected) 350 un corrected

Dynatech, w/ Catted Y pipe
Corsa
SLP lid
Tuned
12 bolt and heavy 3" steel DS
2002 LS1

The car ran strong, untouched accessories and tb, no free mods

There are people making higher numbers than you using pacesetters and comparable mods. Are they really garbage? Could you fab up a better set? Don't associate price with quality too much. Remember what you learned in High School economics about supply and demand.

Pacesetters are probably one of the "best bang for the buck" header out there. I have used many set of many cars and have worked great. I even have them on my own personal car and I would say they are not holding me back check the sig!!

i have pacesetter on my 2000 camaro, i was very impressed with the feeling of the car. i went from 13.3 to 13.1, thats with m6 and spinning my nittos with a horrible 2.1 60ft. i would say get them just make sure u start the car after the install, w/o the y, open headers sound badass.

I have Pacesetter on my car too. They fit perfectly & have given me absolutely no reason to believe they are junk.
