Ear plugs. That should quiet down what you hear.

I have Corsa and love the sound backed up to my stroker/long tubes.

Of course I like loud cars anyway.

Yes, theres plenty of room on the I pipe to cut a section out and weld one in, there not long at all, maybe about 18' inches.

Longtubes, Corsa catback, metallic core bullet cats, open cutout...not loud enough for me

Are you running cats? If not, throw on a set of cats to quiet it down.

The key to a Corsa is highflow cats. It's loud at WOT and nice and potent sounding at all other times.

Does Corsa still have the problem of their mufflers coming apart inside?

Exactly and it is true, the key is HIGH flow cats.

I used the SAME corsa that was on my high comp LT1 383 w/ no CATS and its pretty loud. I lived with it, I only really noticed it on a 2 hr freeway cruise, otherwise I was fine.

I put this exhaust on my LS1 with Dynatech cats and its made a WORLD of diff. Sounds more exotic and some people who broke my ***** about it now love it. I rev 2k or so on the freeway with the windows up and its dead quiet..... welp I still hear my 12 bolt whine lol!

Is it because my car is a convertible?

Its prob due to your car is a A4, which my LT1 was and with out cats there def was a drone, mine was rarer hard top, but no cats spinning higher rpms is going to create a drone, especially on LS1's

Yeah, I remember back a while ago (can't remember exactly when), that Corsa had issues with their mufflers for the LS1s rattling inside. I think the majority of the mufflers effected were cars with off-road y-pipes. I don't know for sure, but I think Corsa may have addressed the issue, or maybe not.

PLS read my sig: it's a M6 now with stock cats and stock Y-pipe.
What I've done once was an homemade glasspack inserting a smaller mesh-pipe inside of both exhaust end pipes.
It was better but nor the sound I was looking for.
