Default OBX Headers... just got them in from ebay tonight...

Let me start out by stating:

Click here for a bunch of pix of the OBX setup

Granted, I don't know what I should be expecting but the pipes seem much smaller than what I expected. Primaries measure a tiny 1.5" I.D. - which is really disappointing seeing as the primaries are advertised as 1 3/4"...

The collectors ARE 3", but the far side of the resonators measure 2 5/8"... and it just keeps getting smaller from there.

The next pipe past the resonators connect to the y-pipe which measure 2 7/16" into the welded section of the Y... which measures 2 3/4".

The polishing looks good, welds look fine too.

The collectors on the header and the y-pipe aren't finished very well and that's also got me concerned.

What do y'all think about these headers?

I think I'm going to look to return them. Whats the average header primary I.D. measure? I'm assuming 1.5" is stupid small...

I just placed my Percy's gaskets that measure 1 3/4" I.D. over these primaries at the flange. The header primaries are so small that I can see the O.D. of the primaries INSIDE the I.D. of the Percy's gaskets... UGH.

Wow, yeah that sucks...good luck on getting your money back...I bet they will want to charge some sort of restocking fee.

Actually, I just read the auction on ebay..it says Tube Diameter: 1 3/4 Inch....that would be O.D.....so the 1.5" I.D. is correct...dang, they are kind of expensive to...

Also....

I dunno, I spray this thing and I REALLY don't wanna spray into tiny headers.

What a damn bummer.

BTW, they measure 1 1/2" I.D. & 1 11/16" O.D. .... so 1 3/4" O.D. I say BS.

I've got 5 days to notify them that I'm returning them, then I just need to ship them back at my own expense.... but I should get full purchase price back, no restocking fee is listed in their return policy.
