Taking The Car Out of Storage
I was jsut asking, b/c in about a month i will be taking the car out. Last year i started the car couple times to get the fluids moving and what not. But this year i have not started the car at all. So obviously all the oil is in the pan, and i do not want to start the car up and mess something up..
So my question is how cna i start the car w/o it stating to get the oil up to the top half of the motor????
God i can not wait to hear my car again.. i miss my lope of the cam

How long has the car been in the garage. Ive got a supra that sometimes goes months without starting. Never had a problem with just starting it. The way I look at it is most of the oil stays in the pan 99% of the time anyway. Oil residue does not dry up nor evaporate. Just charge it and start that beast. And as far as the fuel goes if you are really worried about it I would just add a can or 2 of Octane Booster. But the Supra has also spent 6-7 months with the same tank of fuel and didnt have a problem running 22lbs of boost after it was started.

I don't think the starter is capable of turning the motor over sufficiently, even with the spark plugs out, such that it draws oil up the sump and into the oil pump.
If you're really concerned, I suppose you could pull the valve covers and squirt some oil on valve train parts.
I'd just do an oil change and fire it up.

the car has been sitting in storage since November. I am not worried about fuel, it has a full tank of 93 and has seafoam in there which is a stabilizer..
I just do not want to hurt the top half off the motor, but i am sure there is some residue there to help keep it lubed...

I put mine to bed in November every year, then take it out around the middle of april. I have always just started it up, and have no problems with it. If it makes you feel any better we got a bunch of ice today, and calling for a chance of more tomorrow.
