Cracked LS6
Quick question for the experienced here:
Where is the point of weakness on an LS6 manifold?
I was tightening down my manifold and I overlooked a bracket that had gotten between it and the heads, between the front two screws on the drivers side. As I tightened down the forward most screw on that side, all others were already tightened, I heard a distinct and sharp crack. Took the manifold off, couldn't find any damage, put it back, car runs fine, I'd even say good. Could it be, like my friend said, a 'warning crack'?

if there is a crack it will not likely open until the manifold is under pressure. kinda like a sprinkler water pipe looks fine when pressure is off then sprays out the side when water is on.
