Default FAST 90 INTAKE& TRICKFLOW HEAD????'s

Took apart a Fast 90 intake and bolted the lower part of it to a set of Trickflow225 head's and the Dam intake ports don't match up. The bottom of the intake port on the Trickflow head sits about 1/4in. higher than the bottom of the intake. I now the Trickflow heads have a raised port design, but how do you port match these 2 combo's if it is like this? The top of the head and intake where the injector go's is fine, just the bottom is off!

Default intake

I'd call trickflow, messing with their port doesn't sound like a good idea as they flow pretty well. I'd build up the intake with epoxy before I'd touch the port.

You can use epoxy to raise the floor of the FAST to match the head, then port match. There is a thread in the Gen III Internal section announcing Trick Flow is now a sponsor here. A rep has been posting in the thread. PM him and see what they say and if they did any flow testing with intake and head. It may be a moot point, if they saw no discernable loss of flow.

BTW - Can you take pics of only the bottom of the intake bolted to the head?

I dont see how it would be a problem if the head port is completely exposed. It's not like the fast is blocking the head inlet.

According to Trickflow, it's because their head has a raised floor. They tested it vs. a special non raised flow Trickflow head and saw no difference.

So you should be fine.

That is correct. All the flow on those heads are in the top and sides of the runner. The fast intake works fine and seals without a problem.

not sure the epoxy idea is good anyway...

would suck for that to come loose and get into the engine
