Default Exhaust Question

I have flowmaster exhaust(came on the car). Am I losing that much HP buying using this muffler. Will switching to a hooker or magnaflow muffler help me that much to where it's worth the money to buy a different one?

Get a Magnaflow. Just for the sound alone it's worth the swap over the blowmaster. You will hear and feel the difference. Been runnin it on mine for 2 years and just love it.

I have a cutout and headers. Loudmouth I don't think I will like. I'll try and see if I can find a magnaflow or hooker muffler for sale.

I think there was a thread long ago with flow numbers from different exhaust manufacturers. Flowmaster was at the bottom of the list. Check out ls1sounds and pick out one you like.

The HP gains from just swapping the mufflers would be very small. Just throw a cutout on there and then you'll open up the exhaust some.

I have an electric cut out on it already. I won't open it all the time so I thought changing mufflers would help. I'll stick with the chokemaster then.
