Default exhaust question, not a newb thing.

I have headers with a tsp true dual setup, i scraped here and there before, but I just lowered my car a bit, and now its horrible. i have this setup to support 650 rwhp... but i really wanna go back to the catback style system which wont scrape as much..

my question is how much power can a 3 inch exhaust make? i have heard dual 3 inch can support 800, but chuck @ hpe disproved that big time for me...

According to the sticky at the top:

A 3” Single system is good for a 370hp engine with zero loss…
A 3” dual system is good for a 812hp engine with zero loss…

I would try getting your duals to tuck up better...spend some time and adjust it properly. I've got a friend who has the TSP duals and pretty low springs (sportlines I believe) and he rarely scrapes because we spent a few hours tweaking the pipes and getting it to tuck up very nicely.

I was told that a good setup Y-pipe system would lose minimal amounts of power compared to a TD setup. My TDs have been a pain in the *** lately, and it's mostly thanks in part to the horrendous roads here in NJ. Check the dyno section maybe you can get some answers in there. Good luck.

I am gonna get a torque arm relocation kit and a new torque arm which gives more room for the duals, but man, my car looks sweet slammed!
