Default install headers top or bottom???

i installed the driver side header from the bottom and it went in fine. Then i started on the passenger side.....problem. I got hung up on top so i tried the bottom....no can do. So i went back up top with the header and got it almost all the way but no. Which way did you'll go. I'm going to try it again tomorrow.

Bottom. Passenger side should just slide right up. Driver side is a little trickey. you need to face the header to the front of the car and rotate it into place.

Bottom, make sure you have the car high enough so that you can get the header almost vertical and it should go right in.

finished putting my pacesetter headers on today. Started it up without connecting the ypipe and catback just to see what it sounds like....damn its loud. While the car was running i noticed a little smoke coming from both the headers. Didn't look like it was coming from the gaskets. Could this just be something thats on the headers burning off????

I've heard that is an oil that is used during the creation of the headers, but I'm not 100% confident in that answer.

I'm going to let it run for a while to see if the smoking stops. I think i read the same thing somewhere about the oil.

the smoking has went away after several minutes. Now i need to get a tune. All i have is the predator and the LM-1. I'm going to post a question in the pcm section to see how far i can go with what i have to tune.

I know.......I love how people on here give an answer without even seeing what type of headers. My Kooks went in from the top. Its the only way they would fit, even after taking 1/2 the engine bay apart.
