Default need your help on exhaust selection ideas

here's my old setup: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFk0qv-QEJY

pacesetter headers, 2.5" H-pipe, no cats, single chambers dumped (no turn-downs)

i'm building something new, motor-wise, and want something different. i'm thinking 1 7/8" QTP headers w/electric cutouts, ORY, ???

not sure what to do. i want something quieter so people don't back down at every single stoplight and the car isn't *quite* as loud, but still loud.

any thoughts?

*note: i couldn't find anything too satisfying in a search...

yeah the cutouts work as long as you got a few bullets and or a good muffler . magnalfow has some good rectangular mufflers that will do the job . then run a good muffler with them . as far as the electric cutouts they work well . only set back is due to the vibrations they will go out and need to be rebuilt after a while .

i've just done a little looking around, and visited QTP's site....they don't list 1 7/8" headers anymore and some people said they aren't making them anymore....is that true? i definately want to go 1 7/8" primaries as i will not be running 346" motor anymore...

thanks, that's what i was going for

hopefully it will become a little more evil in the near future...due mostly to a couple burned up rod bearings...

QTP sells that new y pipe with the cut outs already in it slap some electric cut outs on that and you will be good. Just open them up before you run someone. Than after the y pipe if you wanna spend some money get a nice borla. I have a borla and its sounds awesome.

ew....borla my car had a Borla catback on it when i bought it, i hated it. what pisses me off though is every other car with borla exhaust that i've heard, i liked...

the only tips that have the look i like is Corsa, otherwise, it will be dumped i'm thinking....which pretty much negates the purpose of this thread....

i DID like the looks of the QTP Y-pipe...seems like it would scavenge well and the cutouts being already installed is definately a plus...
