Default is it worth it to go electric waterpump?

hey, i have the money for an electric water pump, but i am wondering now if it would be worth it. should i just get a regular stock replacement one and use the money on suspension components? ...my car could use it because my right rear tire grinds on the inner fender well during sharp lefts... let me know what you guys think.

I think you should think about safety first. You need to fix the grinding problem before trying to do any performance upgrades cause it can't be good and will eventually, if not addressed now, cause a safety risk and the longer you let it go on could be very costly. Just my .02

electric water pumps offer more than just hp. should you wire the elec. fans and pump properly, you can circulate and cool the water in between passes. and if the tire grinds in the corners, i think that should be addressed first.

I like my EWP, but I didn't get it for a HP gain. It keeps the car much cooler just cruising around town since it moves so much fluid at all times.

It could make a noticeable power difference if you hot lap your car at the track. Plus, it looks nice in the engine bay. But there are more dollar efficient ways to improve a car, make it go faster.

well the grind has been there forever and somehow, nobody knows what is causing it. ive looked under there and havent been able to find anything, and regardless, i need a water pump, whether it be electrical or mechanical, im getting one. what could be some possibilities as to what the thing could be on my right rear wheel? i would have already fixed that grinding if i had a clear idea of what it is, but so far, all the shops, and all the posts ive made here havent helped. even though it only happens on really sharp turns, it sucks and i bet i could handle better with that thing fixed.

I had a Mezierre street EWP and the motor on it went out at 12 months, To me, the 3-5 RWHP I gained wasn't worth putting it back on. At the track, I don't hotlap. I just shut my motor down in the staging lanes like most folks do and my engine temps are fine. Mezierre was great with cutomer service and sent me a new motor for the pump, but, I decided to sell it and go with the dependable stocker. As most everyone else has said, fix the suspension issue ... why does your tire rub on your inner fender well ... you got 325's or incorrectly backspaced wheels?

yes i knew it had been wrecked when i bought it. thats how i got it for 5k, but the lady i bought it from said she didnt know what that was. and it isnt a noise that you hear all the time, its only from really sharp left turns. and about the water pump, im pretty sure im just gonna stay with the stock one for now. does anyone know a place where i can get a good price on a stock one?

I would get the car fixed. As for an EWP over a stock replacement, absolutly. Better cooling & 2-5rwhp increase.

I had the running problem. It was a bent axel shaft. You might wanna check that.
