Default New cats?

Just bought a 2002 SS LE Vert. with the original SLP CME with 8500 miles on it. Going to buy the GMMG exhaust through the current GP here on ls1tech by GMMG. My question is, should I change out the cats while I'm putting on the new system? I don't know anything about the stock ones that went with this car? Would like to get general opinions to benefits or no benefit! Don't want to do things just to do them. Thanks in advance for anyones help.

i would leave the stock cats/y if your leaving the manifolds in, no points in fixing something that isnt broken. you can also use your cme tips on the GMMG muffler if ya didnt know =)
but yea as long as your cats are in good condition no clogs, and stuff like that i would say its fine to leave them
