Default Header Leak

1998 Trans am
Just installed the pacesetter ceramic coated headers. ANyone ever had a problem with the gasket heat up and burn.? After i started the car the gasket burned and now its leak. SO i am goin to have to go to pacesetter get another gasket. Just wondering what casued this.
the plugs on the headers the holes are too far back they wont reach stocks. so i left them off.

I used forums here to help me out there are plenty. any special gaskets recomended?

i have a ls6 intake manifold.
Vortech supercharged/cooled.
NGk PLugs( i had to remove them to install headers, thinking maybe i fouled them out)
msd wires
OPnce i fix this leak i think these will make my car sound hella better?

any recomendations on y pipe??

rite now i got stock y pipe just welded to the headers with a bolt cut out. amd one flowmaster muffler....wack i know. no 02 sensors plugged in

Yeah, I thought Pacesetters stopped sending paper gaskets..the last few I got were copper.

I always reuse stock.

Still don't know why they thought it was a good idea to include paper gaskets with their headers
