Default Stock LS1 Head help

Does anyone know where i could get a stock drivers side head? i dont need both, i have no job right now and this **** has to happen right now instead of in a few months when i can afford the upgrade i want. my spark plug hole thread is gone and so i need a good cheep head i personally dont care if it's used at this point.

You could try asking some of the sponsors that do head swaps. They may have some stockers lying around, gathering dust...

Are you in germany like your profile says? I would post in a local thread/room. I'll bet a lot of people who upgraded heads still have the stockers laying around. The 'Gen III internal engine' section also might be better than this room.

You can pick up heads real cheap on eBay or even here in the parts section. Be 100% sure that if you want a direct swap that they are heads off of a 98 fbody or a 97,98 vette. They need to be 806 casting heads because the valvecovers are different on all 99up genIII heads. Keep in mind that if you want you can use the 99up you will just need the right valvecovers and coil pack brackets to use them. There really isn't an advantage to using the newer heads for better performance if they are stock.
