What do most shops charge to install headers on a 02 SS ?? Thanks

Do it yourself man! I'm not gonna lie I'm a total noob and I installed a pair of Hooker ceramic longtubes and off road Y in about 6 hours and did my spark plugs while I was at it. Just take your time and follow the instructions!

i would try it yourself 1st but if you dont have the time or space i called around and got quotes from $200-$600 bucks the higher ones of course saying that they would have to replace all the o2's etc

No Im definantly capable of doing my own work. I did my heads, cam, nitrous work on my Vette but a old buddy asked me to put his headers on and I was curious how much to charge

Well at $90-$100 per labor hour you're looking at $450-$500 for the install. Exhaust shops may be different I've seen some with flat rates of $300-$400

Well i wouldnt really charge a friend anything to be honest i dont want to say id hold him to a favor its just knowing if i needed some help he would probably do the same for me

I asked for a simple estimate guys. I didnt ask you to judge me lol Hell Im a full time pre-med student, I gotta get money somehow. I have bills to pay just like anyone else.

i would charge him 150 bucks, you cant warranty your work compared to other shops, ect. and im sure he will help out or watch.

Yeah I can warranty the work because my dad ownes a shop and thats where ill be doing the work.....but the headers are going to be used so ill take a look at them before I tell anything like that

i think $300 is a fair price. thats what i paid from a shop, but the owner is a pretty good friend.

shop here in cali quoted me 300 Id take it there if i wasnt really interested in doing it myself. Just waiting on my pacesetters, they should arrive tomorrow

About $250-300 is average for a professional install.

300 is a good price. I didnt do mine but I'd have no problem paying that as long as its done right.
