Default TB question

Is there any way to tell the size of my throttle body because I don't think i have a stock size on my car?

Well I can tell you that a stocker is 75 mm. So messure it with a ruller or tape messure. Or snap a pic and post it and you would get a quick response.

Also,,if there is no ridge or lip where the TB meets your intake, either LS6, or LS1,,,then your a stocker,,,,maybe ported and/or polished.

i just don't know how to get back in the throttle boddy and really get a good ,measurement without eyeballing it mostly. i didn't kno if there was an easier way to tell. and what do you mean by a lip where the TB meets the intake? sorry if these are dumb questions by the way, ls1 newbie here.

You can use a snap guage or you could use a caliper at the back of the TB.

yes. Both a stock tb and either an ls6 intake or a a '97-'00 intake will be a 75mm opening. If there is a diff in the opening sizes, well....ya may have something diff.

ah i think i gotcha now. thanks for the help, i'll have to go and take a look at my TB and see whats all there!
