let me fix that...I didnt weld it, but took it to a friend...its got flanges at the ends of the collectors and is screwed in at the dumps...ill try to get pics its actually very good welds

its weird because i deff. can feel the difference in ride since it was welded...rougher...and since doc hooked up live couple nights ago its reading knock...car was running like trash so i pretty much ended up replacing...the MAP, MAF, knock sensors, IAC, IAT, o2s...and checked all the wires...car is much better, but still has knock and a little rough idle/studder after highway runs...

anyone who knows my car personally knows its sort of possessed...

You could turn off the knock sensors.

I really don't think that I would feel comfortable turning off the knock sensors. It's a safety device that protects your motor. I would just find the problem and fix it correctly. Don't cut corners.

Even stock my car logged some knock at part throttle tip in with HP Tuners...what are the values it is listing...how MUCH is it registering. It is basically pulling timing if you are correct about the TD's being the issue. I don't think thats it imo. My buddy has a set that knock the floor board like sumabitch and he logs just fine. Did a seafoam, replaced the wires/plugs, ect. same ****...took out some timing in the areas that the knock was glaring...problem solved!

Would it be fine to weld everything but where the TD's hook up to the collectors...and then where the x-pipe goes into the mufflers. I dont really want to weld it at the mufflers because if I decide to change them later I dont wanna have to cut the pipe.

nope.....99.9% figured it out today what was causing knock...i just replaced the rack a few months ago...i guess my dumbass missed one of the bolt holes because the bolt was screwed in but totally missed the rack hole...rack was vibrating against k-member...fixed now...no noise..better idle...
