Electric cutout takes care of that. They're so easy to install on a Borla, too. No reason not to.

This is nothing against the OP but I laugh at threads like these where people are asking to help quiet down their TDs. The funny part? They're either using a bullet/glasspack muffler or a chambered bullet.

OP, switch out to a larger cased muffler like some magnaflow 4x9's or borla XR-1's. You can even add a second set of bullets and extend the pipes out the back.

So is it to loud for you inside the car, or just too loud in general? If it's just too loud for you inside the car then have the duals ran out the back and you can keep the sound of the duals and have a lot less cabin noise.

1 chamber flows will not be much more quiet than now. It'll sound better IMO, but that's moot. My friend carried his STs out the back when he had his car, and with stock internals it wasn't too loud, but that initial start up with nearly anything aftermarket is going to be a quick loud bark. So you don't want it as loud, but you don't want to be quiet. So what is it you want? Loud AND quiet? Adding cats would be a start, then some REAL mufflers, maybe even two sets. If the TDs are the in way and you are going to a Y setup, then put in some cats and a stock catback with cutout?

Do that. Just cruising around, my dumped duals are not THAT loud outside the car. Deep as all hell but not obnoxious. You might be surprised. Are the dumps angled OUTWARD?

I have LT's, ORY, SLP LM1, and an IMCO muffler dumped.... it sounds good to me, but not really all that loud until you get into the upper RPM's... most anything will be loud past 4K RPM LOL...

Should have bought an M6 lol. I would try and throw some high flow cats in there and run it out the back.
