Default OEM GM or Aluminum Gaskets. Please Help

Im about to install some Kooks Long Tubes on my ls6. Two questions:

1. Many people say to ditch even the newly designed aluminum gaskets supplied by kooks, and to just use the OEM GM Gaskets. What do you guys think?

2. What kind of spark plugs should I throw in? Bosch Platinums +4?

Thanks!

whatever you do... do not use paper gaskets! i just had to replace some paper gaskets that shattered everywhere. i picked up the some felpro metal gaskets at o'reilly for like $15 and they are holding up great.

I just replied to a similar thread like this.

Your inout is much appreciated. HOWEVER, Kooks recently stopped using the carbon xxx gaskets, and now supply the header kit with aluminum ones, I WOULD LIKE INPUT ON USING THESE ALUMINUM ONES.

The GM originals are without a doubt the best. I'm still using my stockers at 10 years old and 120k miles with no leaks.

Just reuse the OEM ones on the engine right now. They are next to impossible to destroy and seem to last forever.

I've had headers on and off my car 6 times using the original stock gaskets without any leaks.
