Default Dumb question...how do you install SLP's fan switch?

Cut me some slack guys.....I got one without insructions. I peeked in the engine bay, but nothing jumped out at me as being obvious. So, where is the connector that I plug into? I believe I simply plug it in, ground it, and run the switch into the car through the passenger side grommet. Any other info I need to know? Thanks a lot!

all you should have to do is find a place to get the positive and then ground it to something and run your switch in the car.... which is what you pretty much said so good luck

on the left side on of car above the battery are 2 gray (i believe) connectors. You hookup the switch inline w/ the connectors, ground the switch and run it into your car. There is no power; the power comes from the connectors you plug into. Sry i can't be more help; my car is under a cover. It is ver easy tho.

There are three connectors on the passenger side above the front tire on the inside of the engine bay. Is this the area you are talking about? The two closest to the battery are black and the one closest to the firewall is gray. If it's one of these, which one is it?

yea that is the side im talkin about; i want to say it is the 2 black ones b/c your actually intrupting the fan operation so you can turn them on manually; i'm not 100% sure tho. I tried to do a search for you and came up with diddly dick on instructions, and like i said, my car is under a cover so i can't pop the hood and tell you.

I'm 99% sure it is installed betwen the black ones (the terminals on the SLP unit are black and i remember it looking factory when i was done.

On a side note: the fans WILL WORK with the car off, so be careful not to mount the switch in an area where you can hit it when you don't want to (like the dash bezel like i did), it WILL drain you battery if you hit it, don't hear it, and come back to your car (ask me how i know....)

the switch manually controls the grounding normally done by ECM. It will stay running when the car is turned off because the computer operation is being bypassed. Its a handly little device but you have to remember to turn it off........i didn't

leave yourself a note on the dash to turn it off. I use it in the lanes to cool the car and actually left the on/off switch in the engine compartment..

Got it in...pretty simple install. I'll be sure to turn it off when I'm not using it, so thanks for the heads up. I can hear the fan when the car is off, so that should be reminder enough.
