There are a few guys running these heads on here. The original versions had oil consumption issues but I think they corrected it. I think the 205cc version would suit you much better than the 225's. They are a pretty good head from what I have read. If you can get them cheap its worth a shot.

If you can get the darts for 1k then DO IT. The ported 5.3 might make a tad more power, but you having the aftermarket castings will give you the advantage for your future plans with the car.

I'd stick with 205cc, 5.3 ported, or the 243 ported heads. The 225cc are more suited for the 6.0L or forced induction.

I have a friend that just put the dart pro LS1 225cc heads on his 2001 formula and be burnt 1 quart of oil in 200 miles. He brought them back and ordered the trickflow heads that I am running.

Were these out of the box Darts that cause oil issues because I know of NO oil issues other than the ones TX Speed ported...

The Dart 205 will make more power than a ported 5.3...
1000 is cheap for a set of the Darts,I would jump on them asap..

U can do a search and see the Darts have made 440+ RW and up to 470RW on a 346..
They work very well,Call Futral and ask them as they have done many sets..

Didn't Dart revise their CNC porting program for these heads? I think I remember something about the new out of the box CNC'd heads are good to go.

They definitely look nice

I have been looking at these too, but no one seems to be running them...I know they make a very good product in general.

The CNC version is a 250CC runner
I would call Dart to get more info, the standard versions are 205 and 225 CC..

I just got a set of 225's and they look like a work of art...
We are going to run them on a 6.0 GTO

I've got the 225s on mine and I love them. Theres no oil consumption from the heads that I have. I don't have any rwhp #s but I've kept up with people running larger cubed lsx motors. I'll get some times next weekend. You need to jump all over that deal, 1K!!!

Very happy with my 225cc's. No oil burning issue's what so ever. Dart got a bad rap early on due to some third party CNC work that caused some oil burning issues.

I hand ported them myself and would highly recommend the 225's. I don't have any numbers yet because I'm waiting for a few more parts to finish my FAST 90/90 and fuel system install before I put the final tune on it.

The new CNC 250's are designed for a 4" or larger bore.
