Default Do you have to do this?

When I have replaced oil pressure sending units in the past, obviously you have to remove the intake manifold. Well the hardest part about the whole thing is those little pins that hold the electrical part of the fuel injector to the injector itself. My question is do you have to have these because last time I did it putting those in alone took me almost 2 hours and a lots of cuts and scrapes from the cowl. This time I said screw it and left them off. Do they absolutely have to be on there.

Are you talking about the metal wire clips on the injector connector?

Just push them in at the bottom and the harness should slip right off the top. What's so hard about that?

All you got to do is buy you a thin walled sensor socket. They make a socket just for installing this. I got mine from the local NAPA and changed the oil sending unit out without removing anything else on the engine.

This guy is having trouble with the injector clips, reaching all the way backl without removing the intake will be impossible for him.

You just have to push the clip in and pull up on the harness. Yes you to need to leave the clips or the connector could fall off while your driving. Yes it's pia for someone with popeye forearms. Welcome to the club of bleeding arms and hands.

See it does pay off being skinny sometimes.

You should have stayed at the track last night and watched the pro mods. It was pretty cool being able to sit on the wall right beside them while they launch.

I only got to make 2 runs because of all the cars running the 1/8th. Damn 2 and a half hour wait for the second run.
