Header Fitment Question
I'm looking to buy some used shorty headers that came off a 2000 LS1. My car is a 2001. If the headers off the 2000 have both the EGR and AIR fitments, will they fit on a 2001? Are there any other fitment issues for the different years? I'm looking to stay smog legal (CA) for this one. Thanks.

That's what I was thinking. The longtubes I currently have look like there is only the AIR connector on the passengers side (I beleive this is the AIR connection). What I'm worried about is that if the headers have an EGR blockoff they will fail on visual smog or possibly the CARB number will be for a diferent year. Any suggestions?

Correct he will have to block off the EGR (only need the plate for the header, it's on the passenger side one). I don't know how visual works, but your car just flat out doesn't have an EGR, so a block off plate on a CARB certified part...? No idea how that'd work, you could argue that your car just doesn't have the equipment from the factory, it just happened you bought those for a different year.
