That is a pretty good flowing exhaust already. You money would be better spent elsewhere.

your not gettin much more efficient than that . . . even if you go true duals you can have them take the pipes under the axle and out the back through your CME. nothin looks better on an SS than a CME!!! so don't get rid of it!!!!

I would love to have a CME setup. Keep what you have and just add a cutout. I did and think it is the best way to go also. Get a stainless one but watch what brand you buy since the quality varies.

Default Thinking about changing just muffler.

I was thinking about doing the same thing, but just change the muffler. I have a 2001 SS with CME and I was told to just replace the muffler with a magnafow. If I do I will stay with the CME outlet style. If nothing else it should sound better. I'm still just thinking about it, what do YOU think. Barb.

Thumbs up Leave CME on!!!

CME flows great, and sounds great, i have LT's ORY, dual cutouts.
it sounds more aggressive with the LT's
i only picked up 5HP and 8TQ with the cutouts open, thats not even enough to notice. the cutouts are mostly for sound on my car.
also i noticed the dyno graph is smoother with running the exhaust out the back of the CME.

just my .02

And if you get one with too much material get a dremel and take it out. Stop crying about your cutout. We all know.

Am I not happy with the manufacturer...yes. Is it installed and working properly...yes. I wasn't looking for any sympathy and not sure if he looked at the thread I started on my issue. Should I have avoided making the last few posts on that thread...probably. You locked it and that is that. Warning someone on this thread is in my best interest if I make a suggestion.
