Angry Throttle Sticking!

I've got a 2000 Camaro SS with a Wilson F.A.S.T. intake and throttle body. My problem is that lately the idle or throttle or something has started sticking around 1400-1600 RPM when I sit still and I'm completely at a loss for why it is doing this. There was even a point where I pulled into my aunt's driveway, and just before I shut it off, I was at 2000 RPMs, sitting still!!! Any ideas?

I've tried cleaning the throttle body out with Carb Cleaner, seems fine -- gas pedal seems fine -- the little junction box where the gas pedal is connected to seems fine. If I tap the pedal or rev it just a little bit, it usually comes free, leading me to believe its gunked up? But today I drove for a little bit and the problem didn't occur at all?

I'm totally lost and appreciative of absolutely any help. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.

the old fast throttle bodies used to stick but most people upgrade the spring and that solved the problem. still a nice part.

Youre FAST tb explains that. Ive read many stories about that with that brand tb. However i have NOT heard any problems with the Nick Williams 90mm.

can you adjust the idle with a screw driver on them by the TPS? I had this problem on my old trucks TPI engine, dont know if an LS1 can do this or not?

setting the idle rpm has nothing to do with a blade catching/sticking

Thumbs up

LS1SpeedAddict: thanks, that's definitely a much easier looking fix than pulling the TB apart and piggybacking a spring in there (if even possible)
