Default o2 sensor question

This may seem odd, but I was wondering if: I take a working rear o2 sensor, and CUT the wires toss the connector. Then I take a front o2 sensor and cut the connector. Then connect the rear 02 sensors wires to the front 02's sensor (with some of the already in place leads still attached), WILL I HAVE A WORKING FRONT o2 SENSOR? Thanks

Yeah. I think you would. Out of curiousity, what are you trying to accomplish? Or is this just a riddle? lol

lol, the thing is, I just installed headers so Im not going to run the rears. The front psngr side precat sensor was completely fubbared (the threads) and honestly looked like a manufacturers defect, so in an effort to save money......the above is a potential solution.....the connectors are different for the front vs rear 02's, so thats why I would need to do this....and no pulling the wires from the connector does not yield results, and the wire ends are different too, but i assume the sensors are identical, as they look identical

Gotcha. What I didn't realize was that the connectors were different on a CTSV.

I would think as long as they have the same number of wires and you connect the right wire to the right pin connector, it should work fine.
