Exclamation car running bad after header install

When i was making my own o2 extensions i cut through all of the wires and i could have possibly mixed up the 2 brown wires. would this cause my car to run poorly? the car studders down low and shifting into a higher gear it feels like it falls on its face.

making your own O2 extensions isn't recommended.

If you think its your extensions just give them a look over but its more likely just and loose spark plug connection OR a cracked spark plug and the only way to tell is by pulling them out and making sure theirs no tiny lil cracks in the porcelian

02s wont cause your car to fall on its face. you probably have a loose spark plug wire or a spark plug is not properly installed

Did it run shitty as soon as you started it up or did it develop over time? If it did it as soon as you started it is something besides the O2's. If you want to be sure, pull the eng sen fuse and your car will go into limp mode and not use the O2's at all. If you are misfiring you should get a CEL, but it'd be a good thing to check the plugs anyway. Another thing to check is the ECT sender, I broke mine when installing headers and it made my car run like poop since it defauts to -40F or something like that.

Your problem is the O2 sensor extensions you made; I had the same problem. Just buy extensions.

better idea is to get the vette 02's and not use extensions.

o2 extensions = extra connections = more voltage drop = skewed o2 readings

not necessarily, you can get just as good of a connection all you have to do is make sure the ends are clean and what i do is splice the wires in a Y shape then twist both Y's together and then wrap the two around eachother after that, then solder. Soldering will ensure a good connection and help from them coming apart.

Check the spark plugs. We had a hairline crack in one of the plugs and it caused some headaches.
