SLP Loudmouth, worth the money?
I have a 2000 SS with a flowmaster catback. I just installed the pacesetter LT's and O/R Y-PIPE. Although there are noticable gains, the flow doesn't seem to be optimal with the flowmaster. It sounds great at idle but when driving, it sounds like ****. Is there anyone that has had the flowmaster and switched up to something else that made a night and day difference? I'm open to any exhaust suggestions, especially if you had the flowmaster system before. Thanks

LM1 with ORY and LTs will be extremely loud, and have will have a good bit of droning while cruising. If your on a budget the magnaflows will sound pretty good, or if you want to spend the money Corsa.

Loudmouth is about as loud as chopping your muffler off. With headers and no cats, I'd go with a Magnaflow. Good flowing exhaust, and will quiet it down to a reasonable level.
If you want to be obnioxous, just go to an exhaust shop and have them cut your muffler out and weld in a piece of pipe. Costs less than $50, and you can then decide if its too damn loud.

LM is too expensive for what you get. I had one before LTs, and when I put them on I made sure I used a catted Y. I tried all kinds of stuff to change the sound, like making it a borlamouth, but the only way I fixed it was by selling the catted Y and LM for an ORY and hooker. Much better and much cheaper. check out the review in my sig.

i have a magnaflow c/b w/ a SLP-Y-pipe. it gives me a nice rumble while crusing and a boner @ WOT. lol. Your best bet is to get a nice sounding exhaust with a e-cutout if you want loud; that way you can have the best of both worlds. Lets face it; you don't want "*** out loud" 24/7, it WILL get old, i don't care who u r. Esp driving home @ 3am from the club/bar; i don't think you want ur head pounding from the exhaust note, or you want to draw the attention of "Officer Wiggim". Just my $.02
