Default ceramic coated headers?

alright so i went under the car to install the trans kit the other night. i noticed that in certain areas, the headers looked as if they are almost rusted straight through! I paid more than 600 when i got the headers back in 06. 1 3/8-Ceramic coated headers from hooker. dont get me wrong the headers are probably the best buy ive made but should they be rusting that quickly? if anything the car has been under some rain but do they normally wear that quickly?

I would think coated headers would last at least a little longer than that, depending on your location and driving conditions. IMO, stainless is definitely the way to go.

Thats why I got stainless.
Yes running your car in the rain cause rust also add in the temp of your headers = faster oxidation. I'd call them maby they will help you out ? Other than that I'd look into some stainless they will last for the life of your car.

Seems a little soon for coated headers to look that way, guess it depends if you drive it year around. Im glad I went with stainless, still looking good.
