Default Maf question

I am taking my car to get a dyno tune shortly. I hear alot of tuners dont like to tune with ported maf's on the car. I can borrow a friends 98 maf to bring with me when i go in case it is a problem. Are they all the same through out the years?

Shouldn't be too much of an issue. Tuning issues have arisen before, but that's not always the case. I used a ported maf and a stock maf from different years with no ill effect in either case.
