i had the exact same problem but it is said you will loose just a tad bit of power on the bottom end. But i have had mind for a few months now. And im not sure if i am just getting use to it or if the power is back. Bc it feels normal now. Then again my y pipe was hitting and my knock sensor was being set off and retarding the timing a bit.

Yeah you should get a tune IMO on headers with all the O2 crap it can lead to loss of power and loss of GAS haha. But for shure your headers are going to give you more power no question.

Good God the grammar, punctuation, and spelling on this thread hurts!!
Anyway, I want to help:
1. What exhaust set up did you have before?
2. What do you have now, specifically?
3. Double check plug wires and all your sensors, might be simple
4. You need a TUNE, need to know 1 and 2 to tell you how bad you need it.
5. Check maintenance items - specifically air filter, fuel filter, dirty injectors

Ok well I have pacesetter headers and ture duels, not sure of the name on the mufflers bought them off my buddy.
I had everything stock back to the muffler wich was a flowmaster, but everything esle was stock
I have checked all the sparkplugs and plug wires. I need to check the o2 senors maybe they are what is wronge.

I was just about to mention that. I would check all the simple stuff first like jmilz28 said. On the tune part, other than having the AIR, EGR, and rear 02's deleted, a tune isn't necessary. Since you are however gonna have someone in there doing that I would get them to do a tune. Now, I personally have seen DYNO TUNES with just simple mods like yours actually turn out some nice #'s. I would go for the dyno tune and have them delete all that other stuff while they're in there. You'll feel a difference then.

i would prolly say that the tune will make the diff, cause if your throwing SES codes the car will bounce from lean to rich and it will cause that running out longer in each gear and make the car run like crap.

I gained across the whole torque and power band when I just did headers and true duals.
It's in your head (as long as it's not tossing a code).
The reason I figure it feels slow is because the biggest gain is in the upper rpm. This makes the smaller gain in the lower rpm feel like a loss. I found the car easier to launch off idle and took even lower of an rpm to spin the tires even though down low I thought I lost power. My trap speeds were 98-100mph on normal days, 102mph on cooler days, after that I trapped as high as 107 mph on a scorching 90 degree days.

I was wondering if I should bring that up, but thanks for doing so yourself.
I know that you can "feel" the difference when you install something new on your car but how can you know for sure if you dont have a before and after dyno numbers?

the reason you feel like the car is slower on bottem end is because the headers alter your torque curve to a higher rpm. that why it feels like u loose bottem end and gain top end

lol what did your car trap before the headers and tune? 98-99mph?
