Default exhaust??

Ok, i got a 1998 Camaro Z28 A4, i had the cam swapped a little over a month ago, now, i bought some LT's and an LS6 intake manifold and they're just sitting in the car.

What i need from you, i need you to help me pick a new set up for my car, it has a 1.5" drop so it sits very low, currently have MAC mids with an ORY which is fed to a magnaflow 2otl Muffler and will be replaced by LT's.

I don't anything as quiet as my magnaflow, but i don't want something abnoxious as i already have a cut-out I just want a VERY Deep rumble, i know Bassani and GMMG are the best way to go, but i don't have great cash flow and I'm also saving up for my stall/nitrous/tune. So help me out plz.

Your help is appreciated in advance.

You gonna be running cats?? If you wanna save money I'd go with an off road Y and Hooker catback. I know what your thinking but I had a friend with duals running 10.80's. Got tired of them and put on the Hooker w/Y and actually dropped a 1/10th and thats a lot when your in the 10's.

no cats, currently have an ORY on my mac mids but i got a great deal on LT's so... yeah, you get the point. I don't need a cat back, just a muffler will do, cat-back is just piping to a muffler which i already have. I'll look into the hooker, do they go by series mufflers or w/e??

why not wait till you put the headers on and listen to the magnaflow. with the lts, your exhaust will get louder. if you still think it is too quiet you could then change it out.

The V6 has 1 tip coming out of the driver's side, the Magnaflow has
2 coming out of the same side. All Z28's and SS' had 1 tip coming out of each side, the car looks odd. I might just cut the tips off and call it a day. But i'm gonna see how much i like my magnaflow with the LT's and Y-pipe.

try adding a bullet to the i pipe

here is a video where he goes from flowmaster to dynomax ultraflow catback and then he adds the bullet and is sounds real badass. If you add a bullet in the i it will change the sound and wont cost that much.

That's kind of what i was thinking.LT's, y-pipe bullet before the cut-out and a different muffler, i want one tip on each side, or 2. The whole 2 on one side is pissing me off.

well... i picked up a 2.5" X-pipe set-up off my buddy today with Dynomax super turbo mufflers and 2 cutouts. Let's just say i paid less then what the 2 cut-outs are worth alone . Can't wait to put it on.
