Default SLP Air Lid

So I'm looking to up the induction on my '02 WS6. This could potentially be a stupid question. I was looking at SLP lids and they have the cold air induction pack that comes with smooth bellows and all. Would it be better to get that bundle or just buy the air lid and bellows? Would that retain the ram air? All potential stupid questions but I want to make sure before I spend more money than needed. Thanks.

Buy just the lid, then go to autozone or kragen and buy a fram air filter.Everything else is a waste of money

So I really shouldn't waste the money on the whole cold air kit huh? Didn't think so. I was leaning towards just a lid and filter and getting a bellows either the home depot way or just buying it separate. So all the ram air funtioning will be retained when I get the lid?

I think the cold air kits have a lot of extras that really aren't needed. I asked about the smooth bellows before since I'm adding a Lid, ported TB & LS6 intake, and people told me that the SLP smooth bellows are more for looks than anything and that performance wise they really won't make a difference. Seriously just get the lid and spend the rest of the money on other things.

Alright. Sounds like a plan. Thanks a lot guys. I would think the bellows would do a little more than nothing. It would make it so the air is just going into the TB smoothly and unobstructed. I may shop aroudn for bellows. Ideas there? I'm not a master fabricator and am obsessed with things looking good so I don't want to make my own.

i ordered mine from lmperformance and they sent me a stock bellows and never refunded or exchanged it . . . i have a home depot bellows on now, only thing i can say is if you've got a very torquey motor you're lid will crack cause their is no play with that damn bellows!

Just buy the whole kit. you save a few bucks doing so, and you get everything you neeed shipped to you at once. You do retain your ram air, its just a metal duct leading to your lid with the filter. I got the whole kit for my 2001 stock Trans am and could feel a little difference in power as well as i could hear a little difference in sound!!! Its well worth the money, especially considering its cheap as hell all things considered!!!!
