Default Borla owners with long tubes, got a question

How loud is borla exhaust on a ls1 fbody with long tubes when the full block off plate is on there. I want to ship my car over here to germany but they have strict rules on how loud your car can be and I'm hoping the plate quiets it down enough to pass. If anyone has a sound clip or any input I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Using the full block off plate, the borla muffler is actually very quiet. I'm assuming you have cats? I wouldn't foresee a problem.

No cats, well cats but they're gutted out. They don't have a sniffer test or anything just can't be over a certain decibel level at a certain percentage of throttle. I will try ls1sounds, I totally forgot about that.

clamp on a Z28 muffler and once it passes put the borla back on.

It is NASTY loud. I personally love it. Put your fully closed plate in and you cant hear much of anything.

Without the cats it's not really "quiet", but with them I would imagine you'll be fine. I would see about getting a set just in case. It gets pretty loud when you remove the blockoff plate.

i got lts with no cats and borla, love it. I just got my electric cutout for the borla and wow. from firggin loud as hell to quite in 5 seconds. Quite is a relative term though, but it is a huge difference from fully open.

Thanks guys, I know it's loud without the plate. I've had that setup on my car for the last 4 years or so. I have just never put a plate on there to see how much of a difference it makes and now it looks like I'm going to have to and I'm wondering how much quieter it is with the block off plate. Thanks again to everyone who posted.
