Default single plane vs 92/92

Im looking to do a turbo setup, but since im not made of money I cant really afford to do everything at once. I have a 78mm fast that will be replaced but im not sure which route to go. Im told that the fast cant handle large amounts of boost and that the single plane does. I wont be exceeding 14psi (most likely be around 12). I guess my question is how would a single plane installed ony my car NA affect it until I am boosted, versus my 78mm fast? Will I lose power? would the 92/92 be worth spending money on versus the single plane if its able to handle the amount of boost I want to run?

The engine is a lq4 with stage 3 GTP heads and a TSP 231/237 cam.
