Default Finishing LTs Install

Hello,

A buddy of mine has just finished a long tube header install and we are feeling a little cheep and do not want to buy extensions. Is it possible to extend the O2 sensor wires on the pcm side by soldering in 12in extensions to each one and not disrupt the signal to the pcm.

Tilly

the wires for the o2 sensor are small and very sensitive to disruptions, the millivolts traveling thru the wires need no resistance, dude dont cheap out, get the extensions

I wouldn't chance it, sure plent do, but I wouldn't.
Just try and get some Vette Rear's, that what I used last time, best part was I got them fro ma buddy off his Z06.

Now, I'm getting ready to install mine here shortly, and will have GM Vette Rear o2's for sale.

just lengthen the wires on the 02 sensors. I did this and it worked fine. youll have to just cut and c rimp though. I couldnt get those wires to solder for ****. chances are youll have to change the 02 sensors soon after the install anyways especialy with ceramic coated. Than you can just buy the corvette sensors with the long wires.

I do not want to touch the wire on the O2 sensor. Is it a regular copper wire going up to the connector on the PCM side?

I currently have the oxygen sensors connected but I do not like how I have tin foil wrapped around one of them and that tin foil is resting on the header itself.

89Formulaws6 shoot me a PM and i'll ask my buddy if he would want to buy it. Would you possibly have paypal?
