is this an LS6 intake Ok talking to a guy on internet says he has and ls1 intake off of a c5 says it fits 97 to 05 but no egr and also the ribs on underside look like ls6 could this be an ls6 here is a pic of top and bottom

The bottom of the intake tells you in this situation, not the top. They made non EGR LS1 intakes. Get him to tell you the numbers on the intake and that should tell you with a bit of searching.
