E-Cutout Input
Ive had my e-cutout for almost a year now.
Ive noticed that...
1. It seems to take up more gas.
2. It seems to slow the car down.
Ive had my cutout closed the last couple of days and the car has ALOT more HP.
Is it just me? Are other people having this issue?

could be a lot of things so i'll list the obvious ones. cutouts, because they reduce back pressure, hurt low end torque (not a lot, but noticably). if you've had the car tuned with the cutout closed, running it open can mess with your fuel trims causing you to run rich (this is more of an FI problem tho).

I think Im going to have to talk to our car clubs tuner and see what he says.
Ive had both a street tune and dyno tune before I had the cutout installed.

I have logged "Delivered Torque" and seen no difference
open / closed to about 5000RPM and then the open is
good for some lb-ft upside. If you have cats and the
cutout is aft, that's probably still true for you. The more
of the exhaust you bypass the more you gain.
Some of it psychological, you expect more go with more
noise and when it's slim or none it feels like it's negative.
You have to go by the numbers.

Im gonna meet with our car clubs tuner this Sat. morning at Az. dyno chip.
He doesnt think there should be any kind of a problem but he said he would check it out.
So well see!
Also, do any of you think your cutouts take up more gas when its open?
