Default To cut or not to cut?(Ls6 intake)

Ok, so I will soon be getting an Ls6 intake and was wondering if it's worth cutting it to keep the stock cooling lines in place. It seems to be the better route to take since I won't have to worry about plugging up any holes or the #7 cylinder getting hot. So my question is, what percentage of people with ls6 intakes cut the bottom of it so they could use their stock lines?

I cut all of the ribs off the bottom of my intake and no problems. Seemed to save a few bucks. Good luck!

I tapped them off with a chisel then sanded it smooth. No probs, fit just fine. Just be careful not to break the oil pressure sensor!!! I did... what a pita!!! So the money I saved from not buying the coolant lines went towards the pressure switch...

I cut the ribs off. If you take a screw driver and hammer you can tap the ribs off. This might not be the conventional method, but it worked. Once I had them off, I just sanded it smooth It seemed to work just fine.

ok, so it seems like it's a 50/50 split so far. I think i'm leaning towards cutting them that way I don't need to worry about overheating or anything. After reading about how people are just hammering these things off, they must be pretty tough, so I don't think theres that much risk of ruining the intake by attempting to cut them off.

They're really not hard to tap off, but they're a pain if you try to just grind them off. Just take a wood chisel or larger swrewdriver and just tap em lightly, they'll come off with little force. Then just sand her smooth. There's pics posted on here of where to remove the ribs, just go by the pic and you'll be fine.

This will prove useful if you decide to grind the fins:
