Default Autometer coolant temp gauge install ?

Is there any adapters needed other than what's included with the gauge itself to install one on an LS1. And where is everyone putting the sender? In the drivers side head where the factory one is? Any install info would be helpful. Any pics of one installed on the motor side (I know what they look like in the car )

Thanks,
Will

Default Re: Autometer coolant temp gauge install ?

Installing it in the block (above the starter) is much easier than in the head. But you will need a 1/8" - 27NPT to M14 x 1.5, or M16 x 1.5 adapter. Don't remember which one it was off the top of my head, but it is 1 of the 2.
