Default Cant decide on exhaust:Loudmouth or Magnaflow

All right guys I have been debating this for a few months now on which one to go with. I like loud and aggressive, but want absolutely no rasp. So my options are Magnaflow(Pro: great looking, stainless steel Cons: Not so loud) Loudmouth (Pro: Loud, aggressive Cons: RASP, not stainless). So my questions are this if I weld a dynoflow or borla muffler on the loudmouth immediately, will that impede the flow and thus cut down on the horses with this exhaust. I'm definitley going to have to do this with the loudmouth if I get it. Also is the magnaflow louder then stock? Just curious. Anyways, again both are in the perfect price range. I want a nice deep, aggressive, loud tone, but no rasp. Which one should i get?

If you plan on getting headers and or running without cats. Forget the Loudmouth.

I have the Magnaflow with longtubes and offroad pipes and it's pretty darn loud, although it's deep and tough sounding. Not too loud at idle, but once you give it some gas it screams pretty loud. Once you get headers on it the Magnaflow will get louder... if you do the headers with a loudmouth I don't think you'll like it. A little too obnoxious IMHO, but hey if you like getting pulled over cause your car is obnoxiously loud go for it, plus you'll have more rasp with the loudmouth.

the loudmouth is stainless steel, the exhaust sounds great i have it on a 2001 a4 ws6 and i love it
if you are going to run headers everyone says it is too loud
but you can always install a muffler in the place of the resonator

Does the muffler impede exhaust flow, hence tying up some of the horsepower the system would have had before the modification

I've noticed that there are some posts about having headers, no cats, and a loudmouth. Is this a probelem or is it just too loud, etc...
I knnw that some places are touchy about the emissions thing, but beyond that, what are the problems that one might have with this combo?

I have a loudmouth exhaust, and want to get some pacesetter headers and remove the cats, Thoughts anyone?

I personally love the Magnaflow muffler. IMO it's loud enough when you get on it. When you would like to be quiet it does that perfectly, once again IMO. But it is really up to you, and what you like.
But I would have to say Magnaflow all the way.

I have dual stainless magnaflows with x-pipe, and its perfect for me! Loud........when you want it to be. Yet it still has a tough idle.....really deep.

One more question...I believe I heard that the magnaflow and loudmouth flow about the same...is this true, and is the horsepower gain about the same for each?

The Magnaflow Catback has no restrictions and will flow very well. With the Magnaflow, I have no rasp and popping sounds from the exhaust. I would expect similar gains from both systems, but the Magnaflow with have a more refined tone over the SLP LM.
